Pear and Apple Crisp

 

Ingredients:

 2 lbs. Bosc pear (3 med. pears)

2 lbs. Gala apples (3 med. apples)

1 lemon, juice & zest

1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 ½ cups plus

2 to 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

½ cup slivered almond, toasted

¼ tsp. salt

1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal

½ lb. cold unsalted butter, diced

 

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter the inside of a 10 by 15 by 2 1/2 inch oval baking dish.

Peel the pears and apples, slice them into wedges and place them into a large bowl. Add the lemon zest and juice, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 2 Tbsp. of flour. Toss well. Gently mix in the almonds. Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes. Pour the pear apple mixture into the baking dish and gently smooth the top.

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, salt, oatmeal, and the cold, diced butter. Mix on low speed until the butter is pea-sized and the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly on top of the pears, apples and almonds. Bake for 45 minutes, until the top is browned and crisp and the juices are bubbly. Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator and reheat in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until warm.

 

Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Ingredients:

1 cup cold heavy cream

3 Tbsp. powder sugar

2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. vanilla extract


Ingredients:

In a chilled mixing bowl add cream, powdered sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Beat until desired consistency.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

At LPSC, Inc. we know life happens. If you are unable to attend a class for any reason just let us know and we will refund your class tuition minus the non-refundable registration fee.

Each class has a percentage of its class fee dedicated to set costs associated with the class which we call the non-refundable registration fee. All class tuition fees include a 25% non-refundable registration fee. Non-refundable registration fees will never exceed $200.00.

The registration fee is non-refundable except for the following situations:
In the event of insufficient enrollment a class may be rescheduled or cancelled. We typically make this decision five (5) days in advance of the scheduled class. We will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

In case of inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, a class may be rescheduled or cancelled without prior notice. Again, we will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

Privately Contracted Events, Gastronomic Tours & Events at Sapore are Non-Refundable

The LPSC will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, due to any act, neglect or omission by the school, its agents or employees. The LPSC reserves the right under unavoidable circumstances or adverse weather conditions to alter the timing or content of any course and to substitute any teacher at any time.
