Nicola is originally from Toronto, Ontario, where she developed a love of baking Canadian treats in the kitchen with her mom and grandmothers. A 2007 graduate of Miami University’s education department, Nicola brings a unique blend of pastry experience with a background in education and childcare. After spending 15 years as a middle school classroom teacher and nanny, she decided to merge her two passions, baking and teaching, and graduated from the ICASI pastry diploma program. Nicola now works full time at the school teaching recreational classes, as well as organizing Loretta’s Italy and Portugal tours and private events.
