Black Cat Cup Cakes with Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2/3 cups unsalted butter, softened
1 ¾ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 ¼ cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting:

Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened 
4 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 cup semisweet chocolate 
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup cream 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Thin black licorice 
Yellow and black jelly beans 
12 chocolate cookies 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare cupcake pan by lining it with paper cups. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. In a separate, larger bowl, cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, and beat well after each addition. In a small bowl, combine the milk and vanilla. To the butter mixture, add about one quarter of the flour mixture and mix well. Add about one quarter of the milk mixture and mix well. Continue alternating the flour mixture and milk mixture, beating after each addition until smooth. Pour the batter into the cupcake tins. Bake for 20 minutes, until the cupcakes springs back when touched. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes, then turn the cupcakes out of the tins and onto a rack to finish cooling completely.

Heat the cream and poor over the chocolate and stir until smooth. In a large bowl, cream the butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, salt, melted chocolate and vanilla, mix until smooth and creamy. Frost the tops of the cupcakes, insert two cookies for the ears add the yellow jelly beans for the eyes and a black for the nose. Cut the licorice for the whiskers and enjoy.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

At LPSC, Inc. we know life happens. If you are unable to attend a class for any reason just let us know and we will refund your class tuition minus the non-refundable registration fee.

Each class has a percentage of its class fee dedicated to set costs associated with the class which we call the non-refundable registration fee. All class tuition fees include a 25% non-refundable registration fee. Non-refundable registration fees will never exceed $200.00.

The registration fee is non-refundable except for the following situations:
In the event of insufficient enrollment a class may be rescheduled or cancelled. We typically make this decision five (5) days in advance of the scheduled class. We will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

In case of inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, a class may be rescheduled or cancelled without prior notice. Again, we will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

The LPSC will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, due to any act, neglect or omission by the school, its agents or employees. The LPSC reserves the right under unavoidable circumstances or adverse weather conditions to alter the timing or content of any course and to substitute any teacher at any time.
