Originally from Munich, Germany, Chef Ruth Levine learned to love food and cooking from a very young age watching her mother in the kitchen. She earned a BS in Education and MA in Counseling; both of which helped her to develop the people skills required to be a successful business woman. Ruth studied for a year each with an Asian Chef and a classically trained French Chef which helped her gain a unique perspective into Euro-Asian cooking. She started catering for a small wine and specialty food shop in Hudson, Ohio that eventually turned into a full-time catering business. In 2006 she opened the popular eastside dining destination Bistro 185 as Executive Chef and Owner along with her life partner/husband Marc. After 10 successful years in Cleveland, Bistro 185 sold in 2016 and Chef Ruth is looking forward to the next chapter in her long career!
